Faster
Measured on a 50,000-note test vault, release builds, interleaved A/B against 0.6.1.
- Index and link resolution: building the index is ~92% faster, moving a note ~95% faster.
- Parallel indexing: notes are read and parsed on up to 8 threads; index build a further ~30% faster.
- Saving: ~87% faster when the Backlinks pane shows the note you save; unlinked mentions ~61% faster.
- Live preview: editor updates ~91% faster, back/forward ~46% faster.
Peak memory is unchanged, and graph views are as fast as in 0.6.1.
Remembers more
- Window: size, position and maximized state come back per vault, stored like Obsidian does.
- Global graph: switching back to the graph tab keeps its layout and camera; zoom is saved.
- Graph settings panel: open/closed and which sections are expanded are saved.
- File explorer and bookmarks: each folder and bookmark group remembers being collapsed.
- Local graph: a local graph in a tab keeps its layout, pan and zoom when you switch away and back.
- Long notes: switching between live preview, source and reading keeps your place.
New
- Drag in a PDF: it is copied into the vault and embedded where you drop it.
- Create from the quick switcher: Enter on a title that doesn't exist creates it; Shift+Enter creates even when other notes match; Ctrl+Enter opens it in a new tab.
- Bookmarks header: collapse/expand-all sits in the top icon row, like Obsidian.
- Opening screen: app logo next to the title, aligned buttons.
Fixed
- No scrollbars on the app window: a theme or CSS snippet with margins or padding no longer makes the whole window scroll.
- Clicking a note in the global graph opens it in the same tab, as in Obsidian; Back returns to the graph. Ctrl+click or middle click opens a new tab.
Known
- Opening a very large note (30,000 lines) in a new tab is ~10% slower than in 0.6.1.
